Unfortunately, we need to inform you about some very sad news. On Friday the 7th of November 2008 at 7:30 a.m. Beijing time, one of the greatest taijiquan masters of our time, Chen Liqing (陳立清), died at the age of 90 years in Xian a natural peacefull death.
She was the first women who due to her outstanding abilities was recorded in the official taijiquan-familytree of the Chen Family, and thus will ensure her a permanent place in the history of Taijiquan. For our Taijiquan masters Chen Peishan and Chen Peiju, she was their beloved aunt and taijiquan teacher beside their father.
We regret this big loss for her family and the taijiquan community deeply.
